First Lutheran Church has chosen to live out God's call through its youth ministry. There are four areas of focus in this mission.

The Stepping Stones Program provides an opportunity to bless children at each stage of their faith journey, empowers parents to witness to their children, and calls congregational members back to their Baptismal promises. Our Youth and Family Ministry Director, Rosemary Sibley has been serving First Lutheran since October 2003. Rosemary's responsibilities include:

• Learning: helping with our confirmation and Sunday School ministries and teaching God's word to our youth and families
• Serving: developing servant events which allow our youth to experience Christ in love for others
• Fellowship: supporting events which bring youth and family together
• Celebrating God's Love: organizing events to keep youth involved in worship.

There are three Youth Groups at First Lutheran Church:

• Junior League for middle school students
  
• FLY (First Lutheran Youth) for high school students
  
• Post Grads for high school graduates.
  

Our Sunday School has opportunities for all members of First Lutheran Church. Classes meet at 10:15 Sunday mornings from September through May. Visit the Sunday School webpage for further details about this ministry. Vacation Bible School is a joint ministry with the other churches in Prophetstown. This year it will be held at the Catholic Church from July 25th through the 29th.
