The Food Pantry, a ministry of the Ministerial Association, is governed by a board of directors made up of the director and assistant director, pastor, and volunteers.

The Pantry is open on Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Families can receive food once a month, and the Pantry helps about 80 families each month. Special food baskets are given at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Using funds donated by individuals and churches, the Food Pantry purchases food from food depositories and the government commodities; First Lutheran Church takes a donation for the Pantry on the fourth Sunday of each month. Food is also donated food drives sponsored by congregations, scout groups, the postal service, and other Prophetstown organizations.
