Boston Servant Trip -- June 2004

Nine youth and three adults raised enough money to travel to Boston, where they served, worshipped, worked with other churches, and saw a different part of the world.

We visited the USS Constitution. . .

We cooperated with four churches from other communities to serve the people of the Lynn/Boston Community. We worked at several sites, including a pre-school youth program at a YMCA, a soup kitchen, a bridge house for single parent families, and a senior citizens center for Alzheimer patients.

We cooked our own meals. . .

We worshipped and prayed together. . .

.

We played together . . .

We reflected on our experiences . . .

We shared our experiences . . .

We had a great time discovering Boston . . .

And taking a "historical" walk . . .

On the last night, we had an awesome worship expereince as we washed each other's feet.

Our group, made up of 60 people, developed a wonderful feeling of communty through our service together.

Out of our baptismal promise-- washed in the water and the word--we love others as God has loved us.
